Refund And Cancellation Policy

How refunds, cancellations, project payments, support payments, and Stripe payment requests are handled for Banyan Tree Design.

Last updated

May 25, 2026.

This policy applies to payment requests issued by Banyan Tree Design through the client portal or another approved payment link. It does not replace a separate written project agreement when one is provided.

No Public Self-Service Purchase

Banyan Tree Design does not sell fixed public packages through an automatic checkout flow in the MVP. Payment requests are created after review of the client, project, support need, or agreed scope.

Project Payments

Project work may use deposits, final payments, or one-time payment requests. Deposits reserve time and begin planning or production work. Final payments are generally due before final delivery, launch, or handoff.

Refund eligibility depends on the amount of work already performed, third-party costs already incurred, and the project agreement or written scope.

Support Payments

Support work may be billed through one-time support payment requests or support contract payment requests. Support payments cover reviewed support work, availability, or agreed maintenance scope.

If support is canceled, any remaining obligations or refund decisions are handled based on the support arrangement and work already completed.

Cancellations

Clients can request cancellation by contacting Banyan Tree Design. Cancellation does not automatically refund work already performed, time already reserved, or third-party costs already paid on the client's behalf.

Refund Review

Refund requests are reviewed manually. If a refund is approved, it will generally be processed back through the original payment processor when practical. Stripe processing timelines may apply after a refund is initiated.

Failed Or Duplicate Payments

If a payment fails, the payment request may remain open or be marked failed. If a duplicate or incorrect payment appears to have been made, contact Banyan Tree Design so the record can be reviewed against Stripe and portal payment status.

Chargebacks

If there is a billing issue, contact Banyan Tree Design first so the payment request and project or support record can be reviewed. Chargebacks may delay resolution because they move the issue into the payment processor's dispute process.

Contact

Questions about refunds or cancellations can be sent through the public contact form on the Banyan Tree Design website.
